  • The materials we use for our filters reinforce our commitment to sustainability, quality and durability:
    A. The structure of the jug is made of borosilicate glass.
    B.  The lid is made of ABS and PC plastic, free of toxins such as BPA and phthalates, made from natural raw materials. We also use a piece of silicone to make sure that the parts of the jar are secure. This decomposes into amorphous silica, carbon dioxide, and water.
    C. Straw to add air and improve water flow.
    D. The replacement is composed of organic carbon fibres, which biodegrade into CO2 and water and UHMW (30%), is inert and stable and does not accumulate in marine life. It also has a piece made of plastic free of toxins such as BPA and phthalates that covers the refill.

Contaminants removed

  • PitcherPro uses 3-stage microfiltration technology with activated carbon and alkaline balls.
  • The activated carbon block, made from coconut shell, is capable of absorbing chemical, gaseous, metallic and organic elements thanks to its microscopic structure and its highly porous surface.
  • As the water passes through the filter, substances such as: lime, chlorine (responsible for the bad taste), microplastics, sand, rust and sediment, lead, mercury, salmonella, legionella, pesticides, herbicides, drug residues, nitrates and 80 Contaminants greater than 1-2 μm (microns) are retained in the spherical particles of activated carbon. The result is clean, filtered water, ready for consumption.

When to change the cartridge

  • The refill is made of carbon, a material of organic origin that can be a breeding ground for microorganisms, which over time can lead to the proliferation of bacteria. These bacteria accumulate behind the filter and contaminate the water.
  • In addition, the filtered lime will eventually reduce the flow rate of the water depending on the hardness of the source water.
  • The suitable water temperature is between 5-38º C

3-Stage microfiltration with alkaline beads

PitcherPro refills filter more than 80 substances from tap water, even particles larger than 1 micron are retained in the carbon fibres.

The refill contains alkaline balls. In turn, these balls contain alkaline minerals that increase the pH (between 0.5 and 1) and that the oxide in the water acts as an antioxidant (ORP). The more negative the ORP value, the more antioxidant the water will be and therefore the less rust taste it will have.

Just by filling the jug with tap water, you will have the water ready to drink thanks to the tube-shaped air channel for better filtration, without waiting. Filter right away while you pour yourself a glass of water!

Remove the cap and unscrew the refill from the top. Put in a new refill and screw it back into place. Fill the jug with water and run water through the filter before using it for the first time.

The standard size of the refrigerator in Europe is around 110mm, but it can range from 100-120mm. PitcherPro measures approximately 108 x 112mm. The standard Brita is 110mm wide.
